Tens of thousands of people are already waiting to watch the first GTA 6 trailer, the link for which Rockstar has now published. Rockstar's 'Trailer 1' lands tomorrow and will follow alleged footage that surfaced online over the weekend.

Rockstar Games continues to build hype for the first launch trailer of its next video game. To recap, the company dropped an announcement on December 1 for what many believe is a successor to Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V), a game that has since exceeded 190 million sales its release in September 2013. For context, Rockstar's post has been viewed almost 160 million times in just over three days.

Understandably, its successor is currently thought of as GTA 6, which Rockstar would presumably stylise as Grand Theft Auto VI or GTA VI. However, the company has not confirmed the title of its next game yet. Instead, it has now posted a YouTube link for 'Trailer 1', which we have linked below. Despite not airing until 14:00 on December 5, over 45,000 people are waiting for the premiere of Trailer 1.

Based on the sole teaser that Rockstar has released so far, GTA 6 will return to Vice City, a fictional city to which the company has not returned since 2006 with GTA Vice City Stories, discounting the poorly received The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Purportedly, GTA 6 could land on PlayStation 5 (curr. US$449.99 on Amazon) first. In the meantime, alleged footage showing Vice City has surfaced online, covered separately.
