Galaxy A25 5G: Big leak for Samsung's next mid-range smartphone reveals all key differences from current model
More details about the Galaxy A25 5G have leaked online, this time thanks to @MysteryLupin. To recap, WinFuture and MySmartPrice shared several official images of the forthcoming handset towards the end of last month, as well as various specifications in the case of the former. By contrast, @MysteryLupin has provided a full product summary, plus what appear to be screenshots from a Samsung retail listing.
While the Galaxy A25 5G has no direct predecessor, its 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3 mm housing is the spitting image of Galaxy A24 4G (curr. US$175 on Amazon). As such, the Galaxy A25 5G also has a 6.5-inch display that @MysteryLupin has demonstrated outputs at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, thick bezels still surround the Super AMOLED panel, which continues to deliver 1,000 nits peak brightness. Various other elements remain unchanged between the Galaxy A24 4G and Galaxy A25 5G too, including their cameras, battery capacity and pre-installed One UI 5.1 software.
Thus, it seems that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A25 5G with Android 13, despite having already rolled out One UI 6 and Android 14 to its predecessor. Similarly, an Exynos 1280 will only see the Galaxy A25 5G outperform the Galaxy A24 4G by a few per cent in benchmarks. Based on all the information that has surfaced so far, Samsung could unveil the Galaxy A25 5G later this month for roughly US$315. However, the handset may not actually be available until the start of 2024.
