Huawei Enjoy 70 debuts with large 6,000 mAh battery at a budget price
Huawei has just announced the Enjoy 70, a new entry-level smartphone that comes with a distinctive design thanks to the large camera hump on the back.
The handset utilizes a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 and AOD support. On the front, there's an 8-megapixel selfie camera housed in a teardrop notch, joined by a couple of sensors on the rear — a 50-megapixel wide-angle and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The specs sheet of the Enjoy 70 mentions just that it features an octa-core chip without being too specific; however, previous leaks have indicated this to be the Kirin 710A. It's paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of built-in storage that can be expanded through an NM memory card. Powering it all is a 6,000 mAh battery capable of charging at 22.5 W.
On the software front, the phone comes preloaded with the latest version of the company's HarmonyOS. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 support, as well as an "Enjoy X" button on the left side of the frame, which is basically Huawei's version of the Action Button.
Preorders for the Huawei Enjoy 70 are already open in China through VMall, with three colorways being available — black, white, and green. Pricing starts at CNY 1,199 (~US$169) for the variant with 128 GB of storage, while the 256 GB version will set users back CNY 1,399 (~US$197). It's unknown if and when the phone will arrive in other regions.
