Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G set to launch with 12GB of RAM and Android 13
Tecno has new Android smartphones of its Camon line in the works, and now cannot really hope to hide that fact thanks to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The wireless connectivity authority has indeed revealed that the 30 Premier 5G will use the 5.3 standard on its probably imminent launch.
The upcoming Camon-series flagship may also have leaked onto Geekbench with a few key upgrades over the 20 Premier. They include an SoC capable of a 3.1GHz clockspeed thanks to 1 of its cores, joined by 3 more at 3GHz and 4 others at 2GHz.
Those specs typically conform to the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200, which would be a step up from the 6nm 8050 of the 20 Premier. Its successor also seems to have 12GB of RAM, which somewhat makes up for the OS based on Android 13 rather than 14.
The device has appeared on the benchmarking website as the as the "TECNO CL9", although the Bluetooth SIG has given the game away by citing the same model number in its new certification, as has the EEC.
Accordingly, it will be interesting to see what the 30 Premier and its possible siblings do with the reputation for industrial design innovation that they are now slated to inherit.
