The Realme GT5 Pro, an exciting flagship with a 4,500 nits bright AMOLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be launching in a few days. Realme has just confirmed the most important details about the smartphone's features in advance with new teaser images, sample photos and a promo video.

Over the last few days, Realme has confirmed a number of details about its upcoming flagship, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 4500 nits bright, 144 Hz AMOLED display, a 5400 mAh battery with 50 watt wireless fast charging and a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera based on the Sony IMX890 in 1/1.56 inch format.

Ahead of the smartphone's official launch on Thursday, December 7, Realme has shared a number of additional teaser images that, among other things, confirm that the flagship's USB-C port supports data rates of up to 5 Gbit/s, which mean the Realme won't be able to quite keep up with the Apple iPhone 15 Pro in this area. The flagship comes with up to 1TB of flash storage.

Apparently, Realme also plans to expand its software support, as the manufacturer is now promising four years of security patches and three major Android updates for the Realme GT5 Pro. Since the device already comes with Realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14, this means updates until at least Android 17. The new teasers show the flagship in black, after Realme had previously limited itself to advertising the device with an orange back.

The sample photos embedded below are primarily intended to demonstrate the quality of the 50 MP telephoto camera with its Sony IMX890. A sensor in the 1/1.56 inch format is comparatively large for a periscope telephoto camera and, as at least one of the photos proves, this camera can also record macro shots.

The lens has an aperture of f/2.6 and the 35mm equivalent focal length appears to be 66 mm, although Realme has shared photos with 72 mm and 142 mm focal lengths, which were probably taken with digital zoom. An image taken with a focal length of 65mm and an aperture of f/4.5 suggests that either the main camera or the telephoto camera have a variable aperture. The Realme GT5 Pro is also rumored to have a 50MP main camera with Sony LYT808, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with Sony IMX355 and a 32MP selfie camera.
