Vivo S18 Pro to be launched soon with 50 MP selfie camera, large Aura Light and main camera of the Vivo X100
The Vivo S18 series will be officially presented on Thursday, December 14. In addition to the affordable Vivo S18, the series also includes the Vivo S18 and the S18 Pro. Regarding the top model, Vivo has already confirmed a number of details: the smartphone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+, a 120 Hz AMOLED display and a 5,000 mAh battery.
But the camera system is particularly exciting, as Vivo has taken the 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.49-inch sensor and the 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor directly from the Vivo X100 and combined them with a 12 MP f/2.0 portrait camera with 2x zoom, which we already know from the Vivo X90s. There is also a particularly high-resolution 50 MP selfie camera, which is combined with two LEDs above the display so that perfectly illuminated selfies can be taken in low light.
The big special feature of the Vivo S18 Pro is the so-called "Aura Light", which has become significantly larger compared to older models such as the Vivo V29. This LED ring is designed to illuminate photos more evenly than the LED flash on conventional smartphones, and the color temperature can be adjusted from warm white to cool white to match the existing lighting of the surrounding environment.
The first sample photos have already been published in order to show the advantages of this LED ring. Since it is unclear what lighting other than the Aura Light was used to illuminate the people depicted, they should still be viewed with caution.
