Samsung Galaxy S24 series to gain better cooling systems across the range
The leaks are coming thick and fast for the forthcoming Galaxy S24 series at the moment. We now have had a good look at the subtle design changes over their respective predecessors and an insight into some of the new specifications. Now a new leak suggests that Samsung has also been working hard to ensure that the Galaxy S24 series will offer better thermals as well.
Even though smartphone chips are generally getting more efficient, they still produce considerable heat when under load. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be fitted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 globally, and while it is an excellent chipset, it will still benefit from having a good thermal management system which will help improve its sustained performance. Windows Report claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a vapor chamber that is 1.9x larger than in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Similarly, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 will also receive larger vapor chambers. In the case of the S24+, it will be 1.6x larger than its predecessor while the S24 will feature a vapor chamber that is 1.5x larger than last year’s S23. This could come in handy should either of these models be fitted with the Exynos 2400, which will likely run a little warmer than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. All in all, things are shaping up well for the Galaxy S24 series overall.
