Windows Report has shared an extensive leak of the Galaxy S24 series, including the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra. To recap, the latter was recently seen in engineering sample form in which it was subsequently compared against the Galaxy S23 Ultra (curr. US$1,099 on Amazon). More recently, the Galaxy S24 Ultra passed through the NBTC in Thailand, another step before the device's eventual global release.
Not only has Windows Report published official render images, but it has also listed all key information about the forthcoming Galaxy S24 trio. Contrary to earlier rumours, Windows Report claims that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will underpin both the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the Exynos 2400 set for the Galaxy S24. By contrast, earlier rumours suggested that Samsung's in-house chipset would power the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus in a few markets, including in Europe.
Seemingly, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus have flatter frames compared to their predecessors, which is likely to draw comparisons with recent iPhones. Only the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to feature a titanium frame though, mirroring Apple and its iPhone 15 Pro models. Accordingly, Windows Report alleges that Samsung has dropped its 'Phantom' colour nomenclature for 'Titanium', which will prefix 'Black', 'Grey', 'Violet' and 'Yellow' for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
By contrast, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are said to be arriving in Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Onyx Black and Marble Grey finishes. While there are no display or battery surprises, next year's Ultra model will replace the 12 MP and 10x telephoto camera for a 50 MP and 5x option instead. Purportedly, Samsung will market the trio as offering real-time translations and generative AI for image editing too, which explains the company's recent 'AI Phone' and 'AI Smartphone' trademark applications. Currently, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra on January 17, alongside the Galaxy Book4 series.
