Asus ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition render breaks cover hinting a likely launch alongside the ROG Phone 6D
Asus is all set to unveil the next iteration of the ROG Phone 6 on September 19. Dubbed the Asus ROG Phone 6D, the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek's shiny new Dimensity 9000+ SoC. That's about the only change in the books, though, if an earlier leak showcasing its design is to be believed. However, it appears that Asus could also launch a Batman-themed ROG Phone 6 alongside the Dimensity-powered behemoth.
Prolific leaker Evan Blass (via 91mobiles) has posted some renders of the Asus ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition. It shows some Batman-themed elements at the back and a wallpaper that fits the aesthetic. Asus's ROG UI for the ROG Phones is highly customizable, so one can expect custom animations, icons, sounds and other UI elements. Blass doesn't delve into the Asus ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition's specifications at all, indicating that it could pack the same hardware as the original. Themed smartphones offer little in the way of hardware changes.
At best, the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition could include extra memory/storage, but not a whole lot more. That said, Samsung pulled no punches with the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition. It included a host of goodies for BTS enthusiasts, such as stickers and pictures of band members. It would be nice if the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition did something similar, like throwing in a Batman-themed phone case, phone cooler or other accessories.
