Honor’s new MagicBook Pro 14 is now available, at least on the Chinese market. Depending on the model variant, the notebook costs the equivalent of roughly $800, but an additional launch discount is granted. There’s no info on a possible global launch, neither a release window nor potential price point have been announced.
Be that as it may, the new Honor laptop features either an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or Intel Core Ultra 9 285H. Depending on the SKU, the MagicBook comes with 16, 24 or 32GB of RAM, but all variants sport a 1TB SSD, which can be replaced later on.
In any case, the device is equipped with a 14.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 pixels, a peak brightness of 700 nits and refresh rate of 120Hz. Some versions also come with a touchscreen. The OLED panel covers the entire DCI-P3 color space with a color accuracy (Delta E) of under 0.5. The touchscreen configuration of the Honor MagicBook Pro 14 is 0.7 ounces heavier and weighs 3.06 pounds, and the laptop is 0.67 inches thick.
Two full-featured USB 3.2 Type-C ports are available as well, which means that the device can be charged via these ports. These ports can also transfer data at up to 10 Gbit/s, but the Honor laptop also sports two USB-A ports which offer just 5 Gbit/s. The remaining connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The MagicBook Pro 14 has a Full-HD webcam, two speakers and three microphones. Moreover, there is a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, but the blacklit keyboard lacks a numpad. Last but not least, the 92Wh battery should provide enough energy for a runtime of around 12 hours when working in office applications.
