Metal: Hellsinger is a fast-paced FPS that makes you slay demons to the beat of an all-original metal OST, featuring the likes of Arch Enemy, Lamb of God, Dark Tranquility, System of a Down, and many more.

Released in 2022, Metal: Hellsinger is a well-received rhythm shooter with an all-original metal OST featuring the who's who of metal. The soundtrack features members from Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, Jinjer, Trivium, Lamb of God, System of a Down, and many more.

The gameplay takes fast movement-based shooting and challenges you to do it to the beat of the music.

Nearly all actions in the game (from shooting to reloading and dodging) are synced to a bar at the bottom that pulses like a metronome to show you the best time to take action.

Hit these ques frequently enough to raise your combo meter, and the music becomes more intense, starting sparse before morphing into an epic metal song with soaring vocals. Thankfully, missing these cues means you only miss out on the spectacle and still progress through the story just fine.

You play as The Unknown, a half-human, half-demon killing machine out for revenge. She is out to recover her memories and kill the ruler of Hell, The Red Judge.

Besides the campaign, there is a horde mode called Leviathan, where you face off against challenging waves of enemies in arenas. The game is currently 70% off on Steam and is available for $8.99 (€8.99 or £7.10). The sale ends March 31.
