Asus launches Zenbook A14 with Snapdragon SoC and OLED for under $1000 in the US
The Asus Zenbook A14 is now shipping in the United States to be one of the first Zenbook models powered by a Snapdragon SoC. The announcement comes just a few days after Asus made available a series of Vivobook models powered by similar ARM hardware. The Zenbook A14 contrasts the "regular" Zenbook 14 which is powered by Intel Core and AMD options.
Unlike the aforementioned Vivobook models, the Zenbook A14 is a more upscale laptop with sleeker aluminum materials instead of plastic and a lighter <1 kg design. In our full review of the model, we praised its long runtimes and general quietness but criticized its unimpressive processor performance and native 60 Hz refresh rate. Indeed, Snapdragon on Windows has been a mixed bag especially when it comes to graphics as the latest Lunar Lake and Zen 5 options have been very competitive.
Annoyingly, Asus says the Zenbook A14 will be a timed exclusive at Best Buy in the United States until at least through the second quarter of 2025.
