There are more signs that manufacturers are preparing to release the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT in the second quarter. Asus informed the South Korean Radio Agency about the Prime, Dual, and TUF models, which use 8GB or 16GB of VRAM. Unfortunately, buyers still don't have pricing or complete RX 9060 XT specs. Still, the information aligns with news about Acer GPUs mentioned in European Economic Community (EEC) filings.
Most insiders expect a RX 9060 XT release date as early as April. AMD may introduce its latest RDNA 4 card simultaneously or before Nvidia unleashes the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060. Recent reports indicate that the Blackwell GPUs were delayed, with the RTX 5060 Ti not expected to appear until mid-April. So far, buyers have seen no signs of the RX 9060 as AMD challenges the RTX 5060 Ti with the RX 9060 XT.
The most certain RX 9060 XT specs revolve around its 8GB or 16GB of DDR6 memory, using a 128-bit bus. Additionally, gamers can expect the RDNA 4 GPU to rely on the more compact Navi 44 chip. Other leaks suggest that the RX 9060 XT will utilize an 8-pin power connector and consume at least 500 watts.
Some buyers are skeptical of the value that 8GB RX 9060 XT models will offer. Recent titles increasingly hog VRAM, and even for a mid-range GPU, 8GB seems inadequate. If there isn't an enormous price difference, cards with higher memory capacities will be the most desirable.
Another question is how many RX 9060 XT cards will sell at MSRP. While the RX 9070 XT was priced attractively, most manufacturers opted to list overlocked variations at well above $599. There will likely be a wide range of prices with the new Asus RDNA 4 GPUs, with the TUF 16GB SKUs being the most expensive. Of note, the company is reintroducing a dual-fan option, which isn't available with RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT.
