Moore's Law Is Dead has revealed a ton of juicy details regarding the specs, performance, and price of the RX 9060 XT. The GPU is said to grace store shelves in Q2 2025 at a price that potentially undercuts the RTX 5060.

With the launch of the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti out of the way, it is AMD’s turn to release its next-generation entry-level RDNA 4 GPU, the RX 9060 XT. According to serial leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead, the RX 9060 XT could be here in less than two weeks with a noticeable performance bump and a potentially solid price.

RX 9060 XT hardware specifications

When it comes to RX 9060 XT specs, MLID shares that the GPU features 32 Compute Units (CUs), a 128-bit wide memory bus, and 8/16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The memory speed could either be 19.5 Gbps or 20 Gbps, which is slightly faster than the 18 Gbps VRAM of the RX 7600 XT.

Additionally, the RX 9060 XT is reportedly a 150- 200 W board. This puts the RX 9060 XT in line with the RX 7600 XT, which is rated at 190 W. However, this is still above the RTX 5060’s reported TDP of just 145 W. This has been a running theme with the RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 Radeon GPU launches, where the competing GeForce GPUs have proven to be less power-hungry. So, it appears the RX 9060 XT won’t be changing the power consumption equation vs its GeForce counterpart.

RX 9060 XT performance

When it comes to performance, MLID claims that the RX 9060 XT is faster than the RTX 4060 Ti but slower than the RX 7700 XT. Per TechPowerUp’s testing, the RTX 4060 Ti is, at least, 20% faster than the RX 7600 XT, while the RX 7700 XT is around 40% ahead. This means the RX 9060 XT’s performance could be 20-40% better than the RX 7600 XT. Assuming the final performance approaches the upper end of this range, the 9060 XT could be an excellent GPU, considering the leaked prices.

RX 9060 XT price

MLID reports that the RX 9060 XT price could be:

  • $269-$299 for the 8 GB SKU
  • $329-$379 for the 16 GB SKU

For reference, the RX 7600 XT was launched at an MSRP of $329, while the just-released RTX 5060 costs $299. The RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB is also within the purported RX 9060 XT price range, as it starts at $329.

RX 9060 XT supply

We can't talk about modern desktop GPU launches without talking about the potential supply or lack thereof. Thankfully, MLID shares some good news in this regards, as the leaker claims that the RX 9060 XT supply should be better than the RX 9070 and the RX 9070 XT. However, even with this "good" supply, the RX 9060 XT is unlikely to meet demand at launch.

Finally, AMD has allegedly decided against a non-XT RX 9060. So, the RX 9060 XT could be the sole lower mid-range offering in the RDNA 4. But, in the midst of a less-than-ideal RTX 5060 Ti launch, the RX 9060 XT could be the only GPU AMD might need to win this segment of the market.
