Nvidia has officially announced the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060, and they join the previously released Blackwell GPUs, the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. The more entry level offering comes in two VRAM configurations, 8GB and 16GB, and Nvidia is targeting 1440p gaming with these cards. Much of what the card will feature was known prior to the launch thanks to several leaks and rumors, but now the card is official with an April 16 launch date.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti specifications
The RTX 5060 Ti features 4608 CUDA cores, 72 TFLOPS Ray tracing cores, a boost clock of 2.57 GHz and a base clock of 2.41 GHz. Interestingly, it has higher clock speeds than the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and even the RTX 5090. It does, however, use a slower 128-bit memory interface but other than that, it improves on the previous gen RTX 4060 Ti in all aspects.
There is an 8GB and a 16GB GDDR7 VRAM version of the RTX 5060 Ti, and the performance difference between the two should become clearer as and when the reviews go live later today, April 15.
Of course, it will support the latest Nvidia technologies like DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, Neural Rendering, and other Blackwell features that are said to deliver a smooth, low latency, 1440p gaming experience.
Along with the RTX 5060 Ti, Nvidia also announced the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 laptops, both of which do not have an exact release date yet. The RTX 5060 also features 8GB GDDR7 VRAM and is said to offer double the performance of the RTX 4060, but with the help of DLSS4 Multi Frame Generation.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti/5060 price and availability
The 8GB variant of the RTX 5060 Ti is priced at $379 while the 16GB variant costs $429. They will be available starting tomorrow, April 16, from most board partners including ASUS, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, Colorful, Gainward, MSI, Palit, KFA2, PNY, and ZOTAC. They have been priced $20 lower for the 8GB model and $70 lower for the 16GB model compared to the RTX 4060 Ti.
The RTX 5060 starts at $299, making it the only GPU that costs the same as its predecessor. The RTX 5060 laptops are said to start at $1,099. Both the desktop GPU and laptops powered by this GPU will be available sometime in May.
