Nvidia has shown off the RTX 5060 laptop GPU. It has slightly more CUDA cores compared to the RTX 4060, but its maximum wattage is limited to 100 Watts. It will launch in May alongside laptops from the likes of Alienware, Asus, Razer and others.

Nvidia has stealthily unveiled the GeForce RTX 5060 for laptops, alongside the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 desktop variants. As foretold by an earlier leak, it will launch with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 128-bit bus. While the Blackwell laptop segment doesn't have a Ti-branded variant, distinguishing a RTX 5060 laptop from a RTX 5070 laptop can be tricky.

It comes with 3,228 CUDA cores, a tad higher than the 3,072 found on the RTX 4060. But the increased CUDA core count comes at the expense of TGP range. The RTX 5060 laptop can be configured between 45 and 100 Watts (vs. 35-115 W on the RTX 4060). It can boost up to 2,497 MHz, which is, once again, slightly higher than the RTX 4060 laptop.

Nvidia says laptops with the GeForce RTX 5060 should start hitting shelves in May. The company didn't reveal much in the way of performance uplift, and only showed off its ability to hit 100 FPS+ in a handful of titles with DLSS and multi-frame generation enabled. Its increased CUDA cores plus new architecture should net at least a 10-15% increase over its last-gen counterpart, although the slightly lower TGP might set it back a little with the paltry 8 GB of VRAM.

Laptops with the RTX 5060 will start from $1,099 and will include popular SKUs from established OEMs like Acer, Asus, Alienware, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo and Razer.
