The RTX 5060 Ti is expected to be officially announced today. While we don’t yet know the official prices of the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB models at the time of writing, chances are quite high that the GPUs will come in lower than their predecessors. Coupled with the purported double-digit performance improvement over the RTX 4060 Ti, the RTX 5060 Ti can prove to be a solid upgrade.
However, Nvidia’s previous RTX 50 launches don’t inspire confidence in the general availability of the GPU. Sadly, Moore’s Law Is Dead claims that this time won’t be anything different, as the RTX 5060 Ti reportedly suffers from the same limited stock as the RTX 5070.
RTX 5060 Ti launch stock
According to information revealed by Moore’s Law Is Dead, the launch supply of the RTX 5060 Ti is pretty tight. The leaker reports that the RTX 5060 Ti could see “even less supply than the RTX 5070 launch”. The situation has been compared to the “stealth launches” of the RTX 2060 12 GB and RTX 3080 12 GB, potentially resulting in reviewers being unable to get samples.
RTX 5060 Ti street prices
Naturally, a limited launch supply will also mean higher street pricing. Per one MLID source, the street pricing of the $379 RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and $429 RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB SKUs will “likely” be $100 more. So, gamers are potentially looking at a $479 RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and a staggering $529 RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB.
If things were normal and we could get the Radeon RX 9070 at its official $549 MSRP, the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, which is likely much weaker than the RX 9070, would’ve botched the landing. However, as things stand now, where many users can’t even get the RX 9070/XT at reasonable prices, let alone at their official MSRPs, the RTX 5060 Ti might be the best bet for many people.
