The RTX 5060 Ti release date is just around the corner, at least if we believe the rumors that have been in circulation for a while now. We reported last month that Nvidia could announce the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti on April 15. Reviews of the RTX 5060 Ti and the official sales are expected to land a day later, on April 16. The RTX 5060, on the other hand, is said to go on sale in May.
Aside from the release date, we also know the specs of the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti, but the final pricing of the GPUs remains elusive. This makes sense since GPU MSRPs are always up in the air until they are officially announced. However, Nvidia seems to have informed AIB partners of the final RTX 5060 Ti price a week before the launch.
RTX 5060 Ti price
According to information posted on Board Channels (via VideoCardz), Nvidia has set the initial RTX 5060 Ti price at $429 (RMB 3,599) for the 16 GB variant. The RX 5060 Ti 8 GB price is reportedly $50 less at $379 (RMB 3,199). These prices, if accurate, are relatively good when we consider the launch prices of the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB variants.
The RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB launched at an MSRP of $399, while the RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB launched at $499. This $100 difference was much maligned, as the RTX 4060 Ti didn’t significantly improve performance over the RTX 3060 Ti. So, Nvidia was heavily criticized for adding a $100 surcharge for 8 GB more VRAM.
That said, we don’t know what the actual street price of the RTX 5060 Ti will look like. The huge demand that has seen prices of mid-range options like the RX 9070 skyrocket is also likely to worsen the end-consumer pricing of the RTX 5060 Ti.
Moreover, the recent trade tariffs imposed by the current US administration on countries like Taiwan and China could deteriorate the already bleak GPU market even further. The US has imposed 32% tariffs on Taiwan and a staggering 104% on China after the latest hike. Both countries are a major part of Nvidia’s supply chain. So, if the tariffs aren’t removed, potential GPU buyers in the US could find themselves paying far more than the leaked RTX 5060 Ti MSRPs.
