Razer said it would pause selling goods in the US following President Trump's tariffs. Before that, Nintendo had to delay Switch 2 pre-orders for the same reason If you were hoping to substitute your Razer Blade with a similarly specced offering from another OEM, you might be out of luck. Commercial Times says a few other major players have decided to suspend shipments to the US.
They include big-name players like Lenovo, HP, Dell and A-Share (likely a bad machine translation for Asus). Shipments have been delayed for two weeks, and there's a chance they could be pushed back if the situation doesn't resolve itself in the coming weeks. Affected parts include laptops, smartphones and other network communication devices. However, the situation isn't all that gloomy. Some manufacturers are working out tariff sharing deals with customers, while others intend to ship as per schedule.
It isn't known if PC hardware components will be affected, but there's a good chance they will. High-end Nvidia graphics cards are hard enough to get as it is, and now, they'll become even rarer. Even mid-rangers will eventually run out of supply, resulting in higher prices for whatever remains. Either way, if you're a tech enthusiast in the US, the next few weeks might be rocky.
