The RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti are scheduled to be released in the coming months. We reported previously that the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti suffered a delay. This delay allegedly pushed the RTX 5060 release date back to May, while the RTX 5060 Ti fell to mid-April.
However, we didn’t know the exact release date of the cards until today. HKEPC and VideoCardz have now published the announcement, release, and review embargo dates of the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti.
RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti release date
Nvidia is reportedly going to announce the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti on April 15, 2025. However, only the two RTX 5060 Ti variants, 8 and 16 GB, will be available to buy on the purported April 16 launch date, as the RTX 5060 release date is set to fall sometime in May.
In other words, while Nvidia is announcing both RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti at the same time, the company is staggering the launch, possibly, to capitalize on the insane demand that is nowhere close to being fulfilled.
RTX 5060 Ti review embargo
In what may seem like a shady tactic to many, Nvidia has also seemingly set the RTX 5060 Ti review embargo date to April 16, the day the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB is said to go on sale. If this is true, gamers will have no time to think and digest all the media reviews before making a purchasing decision.
Moreover, Nvidia is reportedly moving away from separating the review embargo dates of MSRP and non-MSRP models. So, Team Green is not mandating media to review MSRP RTX 5060 Ti models before the non-MSRP ones and vice versa.
RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti price
Pricing of unreleased GPUs is one of the hardest things to nail down, as companies can change it anytime before release. So, it is no wonder that we haven’t heard a lot regarding the price of the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti.
What we have heard, however, is that the RTX 5060 could cost $299, the same as the RTX 4060 (Available on Amazon). With a 25% CUDA core increase and more bandwidth, the unchanged price could make the RTX 5060 a good deal, even if gamers will still be stuck with a paltry 8 GB of VRAM.
For the RTX 5060 Ti price, we have no concrete information. However, it is reasonable to assume that Nvidia will keep the price the same as the RTX 4060 Ti, if not decrease it a bit considering the RTX 5060 Ti is rumored to pack slightly more CUDA cores. So, for the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB, a figure around $399 won’t be surprising. Naturally, the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB will cost more.
