The listing for the Radeon RX 9060 XT cards from XFX comes as disappointing news for fans as the cards are priced much higher than expected. The 8 GB variant is priced at $450 while the 16 GB model is priced at $520.

AMD is expected to announce the Radeon RX 9060 XT on May 21 but it looks like board partner cards have been listed on Amazon prematurely. The listing not only show some of the specifications, but also the price tag and it’s a bit disappointing. This budget-friendly GPU has been priced higher than its competitor, the RTX 5060 Ti, and a bit too close to its more powerful sibling, the Radeon RX 9070.

The Amazon listing, first spotted by Videocardz, shows an XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060XT OC Gaming Edition 8GB and a RX 9060XT OC Triple Fan Gaming Edition with 16GB VRAM. What’s surprising is that the 8 GB variant is priced at $450 and the 16 GB model is priced at $520. Granted these are factory overclocked compared to AMD’s reference spec, the price tag still feels a bit too high.

For comparison, the direct competitor from the Green Team, RTX 5060 Ti, is priced at $379 for the 8 GB and $429 for the 16 GB model.  Even though actual market price for board partner cards is a bit higher, it is still lower than the RX 9060 XT’s listed pricing. Furthermore, the Radeon RX 9070 has an MSRP of $549 while the RX 9070 XT is priced at $599. This puts the XFX RX 9060 XT a bit too close for about half the spec of the Radeon RX 9070. It was previously believed that the RX 9060 XT would be priced between $329 and $379 but that’s clearly not the case.

The RX 9060 XT is expected to come with a 128-bit memory interface and PCIe 5.0 x8 bandwidth rather than PCIe 5.0 x16. It is said to be equipped with 2,048 Compute Units (CUs) for a 42% reduction on the existing Radeon RX 9070. There is only a 16 GB variant of the RX 9070 so the 16 GB variant of the 9060 XT being priced just $30 lower is not good news for fans of Team Red.

While the full listings of the two cards on Amazon have been removed and there are no images either, the briefs and pricing are still up (at the time of writing) with a pre-order option. As per the XFX website, the Swift series of Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT cards have triple fan coolers, and come in black and white colors.
