There are already foldable smartphones and foldable laptops but if you want a monitor with a foldable OLED display, Uperfect, a brand known for its portable monitors, has one coming if you are willing to wait until 2026.
Called the Uperfect Omega, the portable monitor with a flexible OLED touch display is described as a concept product that is still under development but with a planned release for 2026 or even later. The Omega will be available in two sizes — a 22-inch model that measures 16 inches when folded and a 17.3-inch model that folds into 12.5 inches.
While both sizes have a flexible OLED display housed in a body that's 7mm thin, the larger model will have a 2800 x 1600 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a brightness level of up to 500 nits, and a power consumption of about 16 watts. The 17.3-inch model will have a 2560 x 1920 resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio, and consume about 14 watts of power.
Regardless of the size, the monitors will have integrated speakers, a 178° viewing angle, a blue light filter, magnetic stand that allows for portrait and landscape orientations, dual USB-C ports, a Mini HDMI port, and a headphone jack. Uperfect says the monitor can be used with a variety of devices including computers, smartphones, game consoles, tablets, and Blu-Ray players.
Uperfect is asking for $1,999.99 for the 17.3-inch model while the 22-inch model will sell for $2,499.99. This makes the Omega its most expensive monitor yet when compared to its other offerings such as the Delta Mega which is a 23.8-inch dual screen monitor and costs $664.99 on Amazon.
