Samsung Display has exhibited several unusual foldable devices at MWC 2025. For instance, the display manufacturer has shown the Asymmetric Flip at this year's MWC, as well as the Flex Gaming concept. Added to that, it has presented a new version of the Flex G, which may underpin Samsung's Galaxy G Fold.
Arguably, the Flexible Briefcase is the oddest of the lot. As its name suggests, its design incorporates a briefcase which Samsung Display has adorned with two handles that meet in the middle when the concept is closed. The briefcase element also appears to serve as the device's housing, given its integrated power and volume buttons.
Unfortunately, Samsung Display is not allowing people to get a hands-on experience with the Flexible Briefcase. Instead, it has outlined a few display specifications, such as the inclusion of an 18.1-inch QD-OLED display in its opened state. In that sense, the Flexible Briefcase builds on the Flex Note, which Samsung Display publicly unveiled in 2022.
The large panel features a 4.5 R folding radius too; Samsung does not list this specification on retail devices like the Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,519 on Amazon), though. Regardless, a 2,000 x 2,664-pixel native resolution yields an 184 PPI pixel density, which is just shy of the 212 PPI offered by Samsung's Galaxy Book4 Ultra. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether any manufacturers plans to use this large display in any future foldable laptops, let alone Samsung Electronics.
