The Focus 2 Ultra is not the only new smartphone that Nubia and its parent company ZTE have brought to Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025) this week in Barcelona. Also, it has presented the Nubia Flip 2, a year after bringing the original Nubia Flip 5G to MWC 2024.
For context, Nubia unveiled the Flip 2 in Japan at the start of the year. Now, it has revealed European pricing, which has grown massively from the original Flip 5G. Specifically, Nubia intends to charge €699 for the Flip 2 in Europe, compared to €399 for the Flip 5G.
In other words, the Flip 2 will cost about as much as the Motorola Razr 50 (curr. $499.99 on Amazon) when it launched last year. Still, an MSRP of €699 would make the Flip 2 one of the cheapest foldables around, although this price includes a mere 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
To reflect this price jump, Nubia has swapped the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 for a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, as well a 4,300 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. The Flip 2 features a much larger cover display too, which now measures 1.43-inches across with a 682 x 422-pixel native resolution. Meanwhile, the inner display utilises a 6.9-inch, 120 Hz and 2,790 x 1,188-pixel OLED display that appears to hide its crease well. Nubia has not confirmed a release date for the Flip 2 in Europe yet, though.
