Alongside Motorola, Nubia is one of the select few OEMs releasing affordable foldable devices. The company's Flip series has typically undercut more premium foldables on the market, and that looks set to continue with the Nubia Flip3, with the clamshell-style foldable phone now officially making its debut.
The Nubia Flip3 appears to have been unveiled in Japan alone, although it's not slated to go on sale till mid-January anyway. The device itself sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED display, with a 4.0-inch secondary screen. Under the hood is MediaTek's Dimensity 7400X, a direct upgrade on the Flip2's Dimensity 7300X. 6 GB of RAM is standard, with storage maxing out at 256 GB.
Other specs of the Nubia Flip3 include a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 32 MP selfie snapper, IP54 certification, and a 4,610 mAh battery. The Flip3 is, for all intents and purposes, a mid-range device, and its viability will be decided by how it's priced. The first-gen Nubia Flip was priced at an enticing €399, while the Flip2 cost a whopping €699; the Flip3 will likely have to be priced somewhere in the middle of those to be appealing.
