OnLeaks has now revealed the alleged designs of the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7. Based on current expectations, the pair will replace the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,379 on Amazon) this summer alongside the first Galaxy Z Flip FE release.
In recent weeks, there have been suggestions that Samsung is plotting a fourth foldable for this year too. While there were prior reports that the company was holding off from launching its first tri-fold until 2026, Huawei's global release of the Mate XT may have forced Samsung's hand somewhat.
Initially, several sources claimed that foldable panel production for the so-called Galaxy G Fold would begin this summer before a late 2025 launch. However, more recent news from South Korean media has hinted that a summer launch could be on the cards instead. Reportedly, these assertions are wide of the mark.
According to Max Jambor and others, Samsung will not be presenting its tri-fold and its established foldable lines simultaneously. Writing on X, the leaker states that the tri-fold will be unveiled 'at a later point in time'. With production estimates still expected to be in the hundreds of thousands and not millions as they are with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7, it may be difficult ot get your hands on Samsung's alternative to the Mate XT whenever it does actually come out.
