Samsung has only just released the Galaxy S25 series, which it offers as the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,139.99 on Amazon). While the company is expected to deliver new foldables this summer, various sources have already turned their attention to what Samsung has in store for early next year.
To recap, there were reports at the start of the month that Samsung Foundry had got off to a good start with the yields of its next 2 nm chipset. Seemingly, this 2 nm chipset will be available as the Exynos 2600 to replace the Exynos 2400, despite it being unclear whether the Exynos 2500 will ever be formally announced.
A more recent report from Chosun Biz reiterates this, adding that Samsung Foundry is currently at around 20~30% yields, compared to 60% for TSMC. The website clarifies that Samsung Foundry has about 10 months to reach desired yields of 70% before mass production will begin.
As a result, the likes of Yogesh Brar have speculated that Samsung 'might stick' with Snapdragon again for the Galaxy S26 series. However, it seems too early to make a call at this stage. The chances are that we will see Exynos and Snapdragon variants of at least the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus pop up on benchmarking platforms before Samsung makes a decision either way.
