Samsung phone users eagerly awaiting an OS update are now finding out, in a slightly unusual manner, when their older Galaxy phones will finally be upgraded to One UI 7. Preinstalled on Samsung’s latest S series flagships, such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra (available on Amazon for $1,299), the new operating system has been delayed for months on older Samsung phones, which means an Android update hasn’t arrived this late for billions of Samsung users in recent years.
Samsung seems to have finally settled on specific release dates, at least according to a screenshot posted by a self-proclaimed “sales representative” on the social media platform X. The screenshot is apparently taken from a video call involving Samsung Romania and mentions when specifically One UI 7 will be rolled out to various older Galaxy devices. The update schedule appears to cover Galaxy flagships dating back to 2021, as well as several newer Galaxy A mid-range phones.
When exactly can you expect One UI 7 to arrive?
Based on the screenshot, the rollout schedule is as follows:
Galaxy S
- Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra on 18 April 2025
- Galaxy S23, Galaxy 23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra on 25 April 2025
- Galaxy S23 FE on 16 May 2023
- Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra on 16 May 2025
- Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra on 23 May 2025
Galaxy Z
- Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 on 18 April 2025
- Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 on 25 April 2025
- Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 on 16 May 2025
- Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 on 23 May 2025
Galaxy A
- Galaxy A54 on 25 April 2025
- Galaxy A34 on 16 May 2025
- Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 on 23 May 2025
This information is expected to apply across Europe, even though Samsung hasn’t confirmed its veracity yet. Therefore, it is probably a good idea to take this schedule with a grain of salt until Samsung officially confirms it via a press release or a community forum post.
