Xiaomi executive Cici Lao Wei continues to share hands-on footage of the company's next flagship before its release tomorrow in China. Among several videos posted in the last few days is footage of a disassembled Xiaomi 15 Ultra that is put back together again, which we have embedded below.
As a result, it is already possible to glimpse some of the device's new hardware, including its mammoth telephoto camera. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra already has comparatively large cameras, including a Sony LYT-900 as its primary camera. Incidentally, a leaked specification sheet has confirmed Xiaomi has returned to the LYT-900 for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which will afford the device a 50 MP native output and a 1-inch type optical format.
The rumoured 200 MP periscope telephoto camera is new, though. Based on the video below, the new 1/1.4-inch sensor looks much larger than the 50 MP equivalent used in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (curr. $1,029 on Amazon). In fact, the 200 MP sensor appears to be about two-thirds the width of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra itself, which would make it roughly 50 mm wide. Please see the video below for more details.
