Samsung has launched a new affordable smartphone, the Galaxy A26 5G. Samsung’s new A26 5G smartphone features an Exynos 1380 chipset, a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 50 MP OIS main camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25 W wired charging. It’s available in black, white, and mint color options.

Samsung has expanded its A-series portfolio by launching a new Galaxy A26 5G smartphone. The brand’s new affordable A-series smartphone comes with significant upgrades over the predecessor, i.e., the Galaxy A25 5G (curr. at $188.50 on Amazon), in terms of processor, display, and overall build design. More specifically, the phone is now slimmer than before, measuring just 7.7 mm thick.

This time around, Samsung packs a slightly larger display than the predecessor. The Galaxy A26 5G features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display (up from the 6.5-inch of the A25 5G) that outputs at 2340 x 1080p resolution with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Dimensionally, the phone now measures 164 x 77.5 x 7.7 mm (6.4 x 3 x 0.3 inches), which is relatively slimmer compared to 161 x 76.5 x 8.3 mm (6.3 x 3 x 0.32 inches) of the Galaxy A25 5G. It weighs around 200 grams (0.44 lbs).

Under the hood, the Galaxy A26 5G is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 2 TB via a microSD card. Software-wise, the 5G-enabled smartphone runs Android 15-based Samsung’s latest One UI 7 out of the box, and the company promises 4 major Android updates (Android 16, 17, 18, and 19) and 5 years of security patches until early 2030.

For optics, the smartphone retains similar camera specs as the predecessor, featuring a triple rear camera setup at the back. The 50 MP OIS-enabled main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide shooter and a 2 MP macro lens, just to fill the gap. Up front, there’s a 13 MP camera for capturing selfies and video chats.

Furthermore, there’s no upgrade in the device’s battery capacity. The same 5,000 mAh battery powers the smartphone and supports 25 W wired charging. Additionally, Samsung also included its Awesome intelligence in all the latest A-series smartphones. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP67 water and dust resistance, and Samsung Knox security.

Available in white, black, and mint colorways, the Galaxy A26 5G starts at €299 for the base 6 GB + 128 GB variant, and the 8 GB + 256 GB variant costs €369. The smartphone will be available from 3rd March via Samsung’s official website and other authorized retailers.
