Asus has added another monitor to its ROG Strix lineup for 2025, and this one leans heavily into speed. The new XG27ACMS is a 27-inch gaming monitor that pushes its Fast IPS panel up to a 320Hz refresh rate when overclocked, while keeping resolution at 1440p. For competitive players who want sharper visuals than 1080p but still care about response time, this feels like a fair middle ground.
The panel hits 350 nits of typical brightness, with a claimed 500 nits peak, and is certified for DisplayHDR 400. Color coverage includes 130% sRGB and 94% DCI-P3 - good enough for most editing work, even if it's clearly aimed more at gamers than creators.
Inputs are covered: 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, a Type-C port with 15W support, and a headphone jack. Asus also includes some familiar extras like GamePlus AI, ELMB Sync (to reduce motion blur without adding tearing), and G-Sync compatibility. The response time is rated at 1ms G2G, with 0.3ms MPRT, which sounds impressive - but as always, those are ideal-case numbers. The monitor also gets a full ergonomic stand. You can swivel it 45 degrees either way, pivot it 90 degrees, adjust height by 120mm, and tilt between -5 to 20 degrees. Asus even threw in a tripod socket at the base, in case you want to mount a camera or mic there.
No built-in speakers or USB hub here, but you do get a DisplayPort cable, an ROG pouch, and sticker in the box.
Asus hasn't confirmed pricing or availability details at the time of writing.
