LG has updated its Gram laptop series with a new processor option, having unveiled Intel Arrow Lake-H and Lunar Lake options at the end of last year. For reference, these replaced Intel Meteor Lake-powered options like the Gram 17 17Z90S (curr. $999 on Amazon) that scored highly during our review last year.
Now, LG has expanded these ranks with 15-inch laptops powered by AMD's Krackan Point architecture. Specifically, the Gram 15 15Z80T features the Ryzen AI 7 350, which fared well in the Vivobook 16 we reviewed earlier this year. As we discussed at the time, the Ryzen AI 7 350 utilises four Zen 5 and Zen 5c CPU cores apiece, as well as a Radeon 860M iGPU that has 8 Compute Units (CUs) based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture at its disposal.
The Gram 15 15Z80T comes with a 16:9 and 1080p IPS display that measures 15.6-inches across and delivers a mere 350 nits peak brightness. Also, LG has included two USB Type-A and Type-C ports apiece and a full-sized HDMI port in a package that weighs a mere 1.29 kg. So far, the Gram 15 15Z80T can be found across some European retailers starting at €1,499 (~$1,616) with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. LG has not disclosed when its first AMD Krackan Point-powered laptop will be available in other markets, though.
