The X200s is thought to launch as the iterative upgrade to an existing Vivo flagship smartphone in the very near future. Now, that has been all but confirmed to be the case by a company insider. Meanwhile, another leaker purports to have more to say about the upcoming Android device's specs and cameras.

Vivo's product manager Han Boxiao has finally confirmed that the X200s exists, displaying the upcoming smartphone alongside the X200 Pro Mini. It seems both devices will be released in the same new "tranquil and elegant" shade of purple as part of its upcoming Spring 2025 product event.

The Pro Mini is projected to take part in this Apple-style color refresh without further upgrades, whereas the X200s might graduate to MediaTek's new Dimensity 9400+ flagship silicon as opposed to the pre-existing 9400 of the X200 series to date.

Despite that, the X200s has been presented as the larger half of Vivo's answer to the iPhone 16/16 Plus dyad (expect more powerful, as Han Boxiao insists).

It does indeed seem to be a bigger version of Vivo's current compact flagship, the up-to-date camera hump with a raised diamond-cut bezel and Zeiss T* branding included.

The X200s is also tipped to have the same rear cameras as the Pro Mini, a device with triple 50MP sensors that support wide, wide-angle and periscope telephoto functions - although that implies the absence of a 200MP zoom lens.

That spec is predicted to star in the X200 Ultra instead, though, which is also believed to debut alongside the X200s in April 2025, possibly during the week after the launch of its rival the Oppo Find X8 Ultra.
