Vivo X200 Ultra rumoured to take on flagship competition with renewed camera focus
A slew of Ultra-branded smartphones have hit the market in the last few months. While Samsung and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,082.99 on Amazon) was first up, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra quickly spoiled the party more advanced features across the board. Based on recent leaks and rumours, the Find X8 Ultra is not far behind, nor is Vivo's X200 Ultra.
According to Digital Chat Station, Vivo has prepared its 'Ultra' smartphone to feature the 'industry's brightest' 200 MP telephoto camera, which they previously claimed correlated with an f/2.27 aperture and an 85 mm equivalent focal length. Nonetheless, the sensor is said to be the same ISOCELL HP9 used in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the X100 Ultra.
The leaker adds that Vivo will get around this hardware limitation by adding 135 mm, 230 mm and 460 mm focal length options within its default camera app, as well as 28 mm, 50 mm and 70 mm variants for its 50 MP primary camera. Unsurprisingly, Zeiss-branded filters will return too, which have become a mainstay of flagship Vivo smartphones in recent years.
Based on the image below, Vivo will package these cameras into a huge circular camera housing supported by a capacitive camera shutter button. Currently, the Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to officially launch next month with the Snapdragon 8 Elite onboard. International availability remains unknown at this stage, though.
