Vivo is projected to launch an S variant of its X200 flagship Android smartphone as well as its top-end Ultra version during its next major 2025 product event. The former is tipped to have higher-end specs compared to its vanilla counterpart, some of which are allegedly confirmed in a new leak.

Those who bought the Vivo X200 might be made to regret not holding out for its supposedly upcoming S variant instead. The newer smartphone is thought to debut with the iteratively upgraded Dimensity 9400+ processor, not to mention the ultrasonic fingerprint reader and wireless charging missing in the original vanilla flagship.

The X200s' latest leak might be a strong hint as to the latter, as it allegedly consists of a live image showing the smartphone on a car's central console. The display, which is thought to be at least equal in quality and size to that of the 6.67-inch X200, seems to exhibit slim bezels as well as a charging animation.

The X200s is also believed to have a flat-edged metallic mid-frame (like the X200) and a battery of at least 6,000mAh in capacity (unlike the X200).

It might have the same triple 50MP rear cameras as its namesake, although that would mean no 200MP telephoto shooting for the X200s. The only other thing the device is thought to lack on its debut is a Mini variant.

The premium smartphone is believed to debut alongside the even higher-end X200 Ultra, the Pad 5 Pro and Vivo's latest peripherals in April 2025.
