The Vivo X200 Pro is already available in some parts of the world and will soon succeed the Vivo X100 Pro in Europe, albeit somewhat overshadowed by the lens flare problem and the technical downgrade of the 1-inch sensor to a 1/1.3-inch image sensor. The latter will also likely apply to the Vivo X100 Ultra's successor, which will also have a slightly smaller sensor, but will utilize three cameras of roughly the same size.
For the first time, the ultra-wide angle camera, a native 35mm main camera and the 1/1.4 inch 200 MP telephoto of the Vivo X200 Ultra are expected to deliver the same high sensor quality, which will surely please many fans. Although we already know quite a lot about the model based on information from Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, it was previously unclear just how Vivo would design the new Zeiss camera flagship.
What is now unmistakably clear is the ring camera on the back, as evidenced by the first images of the Vivo X100 Ultra successor, which stem from Chinese certification authority TENAA (see below) and show the flagship camera from several sides. As usual, the display is switched off so that certain details on the front are not particularly easy to see.
Vivo will most likely opt for a quad curved display design similar to the X200 Pro while keeping the edges very flat. The blue Zeiss logo on the camera appears to have shifted from the center to the upper right, which suggests a new camera arrangement. Unfortunately, the photo here is not good enough to gauge the arrangement of the three lenses, even if the image is brightened. The Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in April 2025.
