One More Pro: Xiaomi expands Redmi Note 14 series with new Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G smartphone
Xiaomi has expanded its range of Redmi Note 14 Pro smartphones with a third model, having initially revealed the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G in September. As with the Redmi Note 13 series and the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G (curr. $219 on Amazon), today's new model is the significantly less powerful 'Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G'.
According to Xiaomi, the device utilises a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, which it complements with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage in some markets. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G also carries across all the rear-facing cameras from its 5G sibling, including the latter's 200 MP, 1/1.4-inch and f/1.7 primary camera. Xiaomi has swapped the latter's 20 MP front-facing camera for a lesser 32 MP sensor, though.
Other downgrades exist as well, including a drop to a 1080p display, IP64 certification and Bluetooth 4.3 connectivity. Surprisingly, the 4G model has a 400 mAh larger battery capacity than its 5G sibling at 5,500 mAh, albeit while retaining 45 W wired charging. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G will be available from January 15 with a €349.90 (~$361) starting price for its 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage variant. Xiaomi has not confirmed pricing for other regions as it stands.
