Vivo launched the mid-range V40 series back in July 2024. Now the company is expected to release the successor, the Vivo V50. The V50 series may also include the V50 Pro; however, there is not much information regarding the Pro model yet. The standard Vivo V50 has already been certified in various regions across the globe. A recent leak reveals the device in a new color shade that may be exclusive to the Indian market.
The leak comes from Yogesh Brar on the social media platform X. The leaker reveals a render of the Vivo V50 in a new Rose Red color option. The tipster claims that this color is inspired by Indian weddings.
The render reveals that there is a dual rear camera setup along with Zeiss branding. Additionally, the pill-shaped camera module houses a ring-shaped LED flash. The design seems similar to last year’s Vivo V40 model.
Expected specifications
Previous reports have suggested that the Vivo V50 will be a rebranded Vivo S20 that launched in China. However, there could be slight differences, especially in terms of the battery capacity.
The Vivo V50 is expected to have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The tipster Yogesh Brar also claims that the display of the V50 will be quad-curved similar to the flagship Vivo X200 Pro.
The phone may be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The dual rear camera setup may feature a 50MP primary and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there may be a 50MP shooter on the front. Apart from the Zeiss optics, another highlight of the phone is expected to be its large battery capacity. The phone is rumored to have a 6,000mAh battery capacity while having a slim profile. It is also expected to have 90W fast charging support. The phone is expected to debut in the third week of February.
