The flagship Vivo X200 series was released in China in October. A recent leak suggests that Vivo may launch two new X200 models next year. Now we have key details about a potential X200 series phone from a reputable tipster.
Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that there will be a “S” model in the X200 series. The company launched the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro as mid-cycle model refreshes. Therefore, it is likely that the company will consider the X200s model as well.
The tipster claims the alleged Vivo X200s will feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. It is also said to be a large display and could exceed the 6.67-inch size found on the standard Vivo X200.
Additionally, the X200s is said to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and a periscope telephoto camera. It may also feature a large silicon battery that aligns with the latest smartphone trends. Moreover, it may have advanced dust and water resistance, which could mean it will keep the IP69 rating from the standard X200. The standard X200 features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. In contrast, the X200s may feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The alleged X200s is said to feature a Dimensity chipset. Possibly, it could be the Dimensity 9400 Plus, an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9400. We have seen this strategy with the last generation X100 series where the X100s models brought the Dimensity 9300 Plus chip.
The tipster didn't disclose the full release timeline, mentioning only that the smartphone will release next year. Given that the X100s models were released in May, a similar launch timeline could be expected for the X200s model.
