Vivo has just released a new mid-range 5G handset in India. The Vivo Y300 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,400 × 1,080, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 1,800 nits of peak brightness, while the 32-megapixel selfie camera is nestled in a punch-hole cutout.
Powering the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset joined by 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory as well as either 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded further thanks to the microSD card slot.
On the back, there's a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Additionally, the Vivo Y300 features a tiny ring light, dubbed Aura Light, which the company claims will help with low-light portraits.
The phone is running Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box, while its 5,000 mAh battery can charge at up to 80 W with the included power adapter. Other features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and IP64 water and dust resistance.
The Vivo Y300 will begin shipping on November 26, with pricing starting at INR 21,999 (~$260) for the 8 GB + 128 GB model and going up to INR 23,999 (~$284) if users want double the built-in storage. It will be available in three colorways — Phantom Purple, Emerald Green, and Titanium Silver.
