Latest RTX 5070 Ti leak suggests substantially more CUDA cores with a modest increase in power consumption
The rumor mill surrounding Nvidia's upcoming Blackwell lineup of consumer GPUs has been heating up lately. Thanks to a recent leak shared by VideoCardz, we now have a rough idea of what to expect from the upcoming RTX 5070 Ti GPU.
According to VideoCardz's source, Kopite7, the card - internally dubbed PG147/SKU 60 - will likely feature a whopping 8,960 CUDA cores, almost 17% more than the 7,680 cores found in its predecessor, the RTX 4070 Ti (currently $739 on Amazon). This increase in raw processing power comes with a modest bump in power consumption, with the card being rated for 300 W, 15 W higher than its predecessor.
Other aspects of the card such as memory configuration and clock speeds are missing from the shared details, but more information regarding those should ooze out eventually. The RTX 5070 Ti will find its place between the RTX 5080, which is rumored to pack 10,752 CUDA cores, and the RTX 5070.
The RTX 50-series is expected to see the light of day at CES in January 2025, and the introductory lineup will likely include the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and either the RTX 5070 or the 5070 Ti. As the Blackwell GPUs inch closer to launch, gamers and creators are likely holding out for what promises to be the new benchmark in graphics performance.
