Vivo X100s is said to offer "Four Seasons" AI feature to quickly change the season of a photo

The Vivo X100s, the X100s Pro, and the X100s Ultra launch are expected in May and, like the Vivo X100 series, will outperform competitors such as the Apple iPhone 15 Pro (approx. 1,010 euros on Amazon), primarily with high-quality cameras with Zeiss branding. According to rumors, the camera hardware is already receiving powerful upgrades, starting with the 200-megapixel telephoto camera of the Vivo X100s Ultra, which is equipped with a 1/1.4 inch Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor and 3.7x zoom.

Now Han Boxiao, Vivo's product manager for the Chinese market, has published the photos (embedded below) on the Chinese social network Weibo, announcing a new AI feature called "Four Seasons". This allows you to change the season of a photo after it has been taken, either to spring, summer, fall, or winter. In the example photo, the green tree and the grass in particular are colored in order to achieve a more striking look typical of the respective season.

However, the artificial intelligence is not limited to color changes but also adds some details, such as snow or cherry blossoms, which are placed on the ground and on the head of the person photographed. While the color of the wooden floor in the foreground is adapted to the new background, the AI ignores the dress of the woman photographed, otherwise no obvious errors can be seen in the sample photos. Nevertheless, photos are not particularly realistic after processing by this AI, as Vivo simply changes the type of tree photographed and is not very careful in this case.
