Analogue makes some innovative devices, whether that be the Analogue Pocket or the Analogue Duo among others. However, it has a relatively poor reputation for getting those devices out the door in a timely fashion.
To recap, the Analogue Pocket was beset by delays owing to chipset shortages at the time. By contrast, the Analogue Duo started shipping over three years after its initial announcement.
Now, the Analogue 3D can be added to the list of Analogue devices that have been delayed. For reference, the company had claimed it would begin shipping its Nintendo 64 reimagining between January and the end of March when it opened pre-orders in October.
This time, the company has not given a reason. Instead, it has merely stated that the Analogue 3D is 'now shipping by July 2025'. With that being said, there are no guarantees at this stage that Analogue will keep to its revised release schedule.
Incidentally, the 8BitDo 64 controller (curr. $39.99 on Amazon) has been hit with a similar delay. While the root cause of these setbacks remains unknown for now, 8BitDo has seemingly offered an insight into when both devices will ship. As it stands, the company reports that 8BitDo 64 pre-orders will begin shipping on June 30, having previously listed March 19 as the controller's release date.
