Heroes of Barcadia to get 3 expansions, including a Halloween special

Rollacrit, the creator of the popular board game Heroes of Bacardia (curr. $69.99 on Amazon), has simultaneously released three expansions for their breakout hit. This marks the game's biggest content drop since its record-breaking Kickstarter campaign raised over $1.2 million in 2022.

New characters join Heroes for Hire

To start with, we have 'Heroes for Hire', which is the most substantial addition to the Barcadia universe. This core expansion introduces four completely new characters: Sip-Jin the Drunken Fist, Biggswigg the Buzzkiller, Ontaprielle the Alchemist, and Dram the Aged & Oaken. Each character arrives with their own health bar cup, custom d20 die, signature move card, and unique loot cards. The expansion blends in with the base game by allowing players to substitute any Heroes for Hire character for original heroes while shuffling their specific cards into existing decks.

Booze Ooze Invasion introduces new obstacles

The Booze Ooze Invasion takes a different approach by introducing roaming enemies that traverse the game board independently. These slimes create dynamic obstacles as they ooze across dungeon tiles, disrupting carefully laid plans. Players can deploy special loot cards to strategically place oozes in opponents' paths, though these creatures won't stay put for long.

The Halloween Booster pack is here with seasonal scares

The Halloween Booster Pack breaks new ground as Heroes of Barcadia's first seasonal content release. This addition introduces a brand-new room type called "The Ally," alongside haunted room tiles, eerie power-ups, and twisted house rule cards. The pack contains five power-ups, five house rule cards, and five room tiles, all designed with Halloween theming.
