One-Netbook is now selling its OneXSugar Sugar 1 gaming handheld through its OneXPlayer store after bringing it to Indiegogo earlier this summer. Another dual display device, the OneXSugar Sugar 1 differs from peers like the AYN Thor and the Ayaneo Pocket DS by supporting multiple postures via moveable controller elements.
As the image above shows, this feature allows the OneXSugar Sugar 1 to double as a conventional horizontal gaming handheld or a dual display handheld as needed. Not only that, but the OneXSugar Sugar 1 also contains dual OLED displays, Hall effect joysticks and a 5,600 mAh battery. Moreover, the OneXSugar Sugar 1 is one of the first devices to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, which is significantly more powerful than the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 inside alternative Android gaming handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket EVO (curr. $459 on Amazon).
Currently, the OneXSugar Sugar 1 starts at $699 when ordered through the OneXPlayer website. Please note that this represents a $100 increase on the handheld's Indiegogo launch pricing. Also, the device can only be configured with 16 GB of RAM of and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage in black or white finishes. At the time of publication, One-Netbook hopes to begin shipping OneXSugar Sugar 1 orders from September 30.
