Anbernic will be releasing the RG476H tomorrow globally. To recap, the device will feature the 4.7-inch display from the RG Slide but the Unisoc T820 chipset from the RG557 (curr. $299 on Amazon). Seemingly, Ayaneo will not be far behind with an alternative of its own, though.
In recent weeks, Ayaneo has indicated that the Pocket AIR Mini will be cheaper than Anbernic's latest release. Initially, the company teased that the device would retail for less than CNY 999 (~$140) in China. However, it has since clarified that the Pocket AIR Mini will start at under CNY 799 (~$112), which would make it about 25% cheaper than the RG476H.
So far, Ayaneo has only confirmed a few display specifications like a 1,280 x 960 native resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 4.2-inch panel size. Potentially, the company could be about to reveal more hardware details, though. Now, Ayaneo has teased that it will host a Pocket AIR Mini 'sharing session' later today. While the contents of this new livestream remain unknown for now, Ayaneo's timing is conspicuously close to the launch of the Anbernic RG476H.
