After teasing a new handheld last week, Mangmi has now revealed the design and some key specs of the upcoming device, which will launch as the Mangmi Pocket Max.
The 23-second-long teaser video shows the Pocket Max will be available in black, but we won't rule out the possibility of other colors being revealed later. The handheld has asymmetrical joysticks with LED rings, a similar D-pad to the Mangmi Air X but with a diamond outline. The same diamond outline can also be spotted on the right side of the handheld. There are also dual speakers placed in-between the Android navigation buttons.
The video also shows the handheld has stacked shoulder buttons, two back buttons, and a large intake vent for the cooling fan at the back to do its work. There's also a vent at the top, opposite the array of volume and power buttons, while the bottom of the Pocket Max houses a USB-C port, an audio jack, and a TF card slot. The video confirms the handheld lacks a trigger lock for switching between modes. It also doesn't have additional shoulder buttons like the Konkr Pocket Fit.
With respect to specs, Mangmi has revealed that the Pocket Max will have a 7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is a larger display than that of the AYN Odin 3 which has a 6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. There's no mention of the resolution, but there are speculations it will be a 1080p panel.
Another important detail glimpsed from the video is the product's power consumption rating. According to the text printed on the back, the Mangmi Pocket Max supports 5V and 9V input and has a max consumption of 27W. Unfortunately, its battery capacity hasn't yet been revealed, but it should charge pretty fast at 27W.
Mangmi says more details of the handheld will be released in due time.
