Earlier this week, Anbernic shared more details about the RG477V across an extensive unboxing video. Now, the company has revealed pricing and launch information for the same device. In short, the RG477V will be cheaper than the RG477M (curr. $299.99 on Amazon) despite containing the same underlying hardware.
Specifically, the RG477V will start at $199 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for a $20 saving on the RG477M. With that being said, prices will rise by $20 after Anbernic's 72-hour early bird period ends. As a result, the handheld's 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant will quickly rise from $239 to $259.
Likewise, the RG477V will eventually retail for $219. For reference, all variants combine a 4.7-inch, 1,280 × 960 pixel and 120 Hz IPS display with a 5,500 mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. RG477V pre-orders will open at 10:00 UTC on December 20. Currently, Anbernic only plans to offer the device in Black and Retro Gray colour options. It is unclear at this stage when RG477V pre-orders will begin shipping, though.
