Anbernic has now started selling its latest gaming handheld globally after posting numerous teasers online. Sporting a 120 Hz display and a powerful chipset, the Anbernic RG477M also has a CNC metal shell unlike many of its peers.

Anbernic has started a new month with a fresh gaming handheld release. Teased throughout last month, the Anbernic RG477M is the first gaming handheld by the company in a while to feature a CNC metal housing. With that being said, the device borrows its display and chipset from the RG Slide and RG557 (curr. $329.99 on Amazon), respectively.

In other words, the RG477M features a 4.7-inch and 120 Hz IPS display that resolves at 1,280 x 960 pixels. Also, the device contains MediaTek's Dimensity 8300 chipset, which combines a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU with four ARM Cortex-A715 and four Cortex-A510 CPU cores. On top of that, the RG477M runs Android 14 with Wi-Fi 6E support and a 5,300 mAh battery rated for up to 7 hours of gaming between charges.

The RG477M currently started at $219.99 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the handheld can be picked up with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for $50 more at $269.99. Moreover, Anbernic is offering 128 GB and 256 GB microSD cards for $15 and $30 surcharges over those prices.

Please note that all the prices mentioned on Anbernic's website will rise by $20 on August 5 at 10:00 UTC. As a result, the RG477M will soon retail for $239.99 in its base configuration. Anbernic claims to have restored China-to-US shipping too, negating the need to use US-based warehouses. Please see Anbernic's website for more details.
