TrimUI has updated its Brick gaming handheld again. Now available in two new finishes to rival the upcoming Ayaneo Pocket Vert, the TrimUI Brick 'Hammer' can be picked up for less than $100 with a CNC shell that can emulate up to PlayStation 1, Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 games.

Hardly any time has passed since new rumours about TrimUI releasing a new horizontal gaming handheld emerged online. To recap, the company is said to be working towards releasing the Smart Pro S, an updated Smart Pro (curr. $84.99 on Amazon) that adds more performance and an active cooling solution.

While we await official confirmation of the Smart Pro S, TrimUI has returned to its other popular gaming handheld with another refresh. Specifically, the company has updated the TrimUI Brick again, having launched 'Hammer' models with CNC shells in June. For context, Ayaneo has just teased its similar-looking Pocket Vert gaming handheld, too.

Surprisingly, TrimUI has decided to add two new finishes to its recent Hammer refresh. As a result, Hammer models can now be configured in one of five colours, with Black and Silver joining the Grey, Green and Pink options in which the Brick Hammer was previously available.

The new colour options retain the same hardware as other TrimUI Brick units, though. In other words, these Black and Silver CNC models ship with an Allwinner A133P chipset, 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 8 GB of eMMC flash storage and a 3,000 mAh battery. Also, TrimUI continues to include a 3.2-inch IPS display that resolves at a comparatively high 1,024 x 768 pixels. Currently, these new variants can be ordered from the TrimUI Store for $83.59, a 12% saving on their $94.99 MSRP.
